Wearing Jarik


Hi all, in Indonesian culture class students are practicing using Jarik. What is Jarik? Jarik is an Indonesian fabric that is very attached to the lives of Javanese people, especially Central Java and East Java. Jarik itself is a designation for typical Javanese fabrics that have batik motifs with various patterns. The learning is very interesting right? They look very enthusiastic in participating in learning
In Javanese, Jarik has the meaning 'Easy to envy', or in Indonesian means don't be easily jealous. When wearing a finger, someone will walk carefully.

 They help each other to wear Jarik


 In the past, Javanese people used this Indonesian cloth in daily life, starting from being used as a subordinate, baby sleeping mat, baby carrier.
