Indonesian Specialty Food Cassava Porridge


Today in a culinary class foreign students make cassava porridge. Is that cassava porridge? Cassava porridge is a typical Javanese food which is cooked by boiling the ingredients until it becomes very soft.




Material:
1 white sweet potato (200gr kurleb) is better if the color
orange / yellow
700 ml of water
50 grams of tapioca is liquefied with 3 tablespoons of water
200 gr of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 pcs pandan leaves
Ingredients for coconut milk:
1 bks coconut milk kara 65gr
250 ml of water
a little salt
Step:
1. Cut the sweet potatoes into small squares. Then boil them with water, salt and pandan leaves
2. After boiling, add brown sugar. Wait until the sweet potato is tender (not 3. until the potato is crushed). Then enter the thawed tapioca while stirring stirring. Wait until it boils then turn off the heat
4. How to make coconut milk: mix coconut milk with water and salt then cook over low heat while stirring constantly so that the coconut milk does not break
5. Serve porridge with coconut milk can be eaten hot and cold.
6. Porridge telo is ready to be served
